It is important that your skin gets enough moisture. Not just with moisturizing skincare products, but also with enough liquid.
We have 1o tips for your moisture balance:

 

  • Daily fluid requirement

Depending on age, gender and physical activity, the fluid requirement varies. As a rule of thumb, women should drink about 2 liters, and men about 2.5 liters a day, preferably water and unsweetened teas. Also some food contains a lot of fluid (melons, cucumbers, etc.).

 

  • Prefer water

Water does not contain sugar or calories, so it’s the best way to get hydrated. Drink regularly to keep your skin hydrated on a regular basis. A little tip: Always put a jug of water on the table in front of you.

 

  • A glass in the morning

It is best to drink a glass of water immediately after getting up, as the body is slightly dehydrated in the morning. Metabolism is boosted faster and toxins that have accumulated overnight are eliminated more quickly. The skin radiates and remains supple.

 

  • Restrict coffee consumption

Avoid caffeinated drinks, as they have a diuretic effect and thus promote dehydration. This can lead to dry skin.

 

  • Regular drinking

Do not wait to drink until you are thirsty, but rather drink small quantities at regular intervals. If you feel thirsty, it is already a sign that the body is beginning to dehydrate.

 

  • Drink during sports

To keep the body hydrated, it is important to drink enough before and during exercise. During exercise, the body can lose up to 1 liter of fluid.

 

  • Hungry or thirsty?

If you feel like you are hungry, you should first drink a glass of water. Hunger and thirst are caused by the same hormones and you do not always know whether hunger is really hungry, not thirst.

 

  • Avoid alcohol

The consumption of alcohol deprives the body of liquid, which dries out the skin. Therefore, alcohol should be avoided.

 

  • Start digestion

A glass of water should be drunk at least 30 minutes before each meal. This will prevent you from eating too much and the digestive system will be boosted. The intake of nutrients is being prepared.

 

  • Good-night drink
